Since 2005, the YLS SPRING LACROSSE Program is has been one of the Triangle's most popular leagues committed to outstanding teaching while providing an organized competitive AA league and developmental A league designed to apply the rules, concepts, and strategies of high level lacrosse.  This program has a pre-season evaluation to determine appropriate player placement.

K-2nd Grade:  The K2 Spring League is for all skill level K-2nd Graders and consists of a great balance of practices and league game play on the same day.  There are no additional weekday practices assigned to this league. Sessions will include instruction as a group, and then divide into teams for instructional scrimmages and games.

3rd-5th Grade, AA Division:  This small-sided league is for experienced players in search of structured and positive coaching, talented teammates, and very competitive opponents.  There is a season of fast-paced, highly skilled league games followed by an exciting playoff format that concludes with league Championship awards!  There is a highly organized practice session each week consisting of position specific training as well as the development of dynamic team play.

3rd-5th Grade, A Division:  This small-sided league is for newer players in search of a game play in a smaller team atmosphere with structured and positive coaching against other newer players.  A season of league games will be followed by an exciting playoff format that concludes with league Championship awards!  There is a highly organized practice session each week consisting of position specific training as well as the development of dynamic team play.

6-8th Grade, Middle School Teams: Players will be grouped by school to create teams that will participate in the Triangle Youth Lacrosse Conference. All players are welcome to participate in the middle school program regardless of base school. If enough players from a single school register then a full team will be created. Players will be added to rosters as free agents in the event their school doesn't have a full team or schools will be combined to create full teams. All attemps will be made to place players in their geograhpic region to help with travel and practice locations.

*Competitive lacrosse players and full teams from all over the Triangle within the AA Division
*Opportunity for newer players to play in a less competitive A Division and therefore learn the game with more repetitions
*YLS Certified Coaches who know the game and get to know the players while providing quality teaching and positive atmosphere
*Each age group will play on modified fields with fewer players to permit more touches on the ball and increased communication with coaches
*Practices dates/times for 3rd-8th Graders for advanced skill development
*Certified Referees promoting safe, limited contact game play

Just like all YLS programs, this league is open to any lacrosse player from any program or team.  Prior experience is required and can include fundamental camps, intramural programs, in-house YLS Leagues, local travel teams, and/or tournament teams.

All participants must be legally equipped for each session as part of this league. Proper equipment includes regulation lacrosse helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, mouthguard, and stick. Athletic cups are highly advised.

In the event of an absence or delay, notification should be sent in advance to so that the team can prepare accordingly.
